About Playin' n Givin'
Playin' n Givin' started in 2015 by the PHINdy Parrothead Club of Indianapolis. Since our small beginning we has donated over $35,000 to Indianapolis charities. This year beneficiary is Pouhouse, a local homeless outreach program who move men off the streets into permanent housing.
"PHindy Parrot Head Club is a chapter of Parrot Heads in Paradise. Phindy was founded in 2001 . We have raised thousands of dollars over the years for organizations such as Indiana Children's Wish Fund, The PourHouse, Relay for Life and many more. Our motto is Party with a Purpose. www.phip.com
The PourHouse assists individuals experiencing homelessness in overcoming barriers to housing, treatment and healthcare. Through community-style street outreach and a unique peer advocacy approach, we help people define and achieve their goals and reestablish vision for their lives.
The PourHouse is recognized as an outreach organization that is critical to the overall picture of addressing homelessness. We are specialized in engaging individuals that are considered long term chronically homeless with mental health barriers. We have a 24/7 toll free line and have created a unique military dog tag style identification system that provides a link between individuals living on the streets and emergency services.
Through partnerships with local service providers, IMPD and the City of Indianapolis, we help individuals access services and address their needs.
